Devlog 2: Lava Rising


Today we have some exciting updates on our game that we are developing for the Florida Poly Game Expo!

SInce our last DevLog, we have made some major progress and are close to 100% code development. Most of our scripts are written and a majority of our work moving forward is finalizing mechanics, tweaking numbers, and bug fixing. There is still plenty of work to be done, but we are confident that we can reach our goal and put out a game with the quality we want by our deadline.

One major system that was implemented is our weapons system. It is generally quite simple, but still gave us a good fight to implement. Currently, the player spawns with a basic pistol that has weak, but still impactful knockback.

We also have control points that can be captured and will have an effect after they get captured.

The player can also pick up other more powerful weapons throughout the map.
